“We are proud to extend our growing relationship with Blue Cross to now include Saskatchewan Blue Cross,” comments Carl Carter, Chief Commercial Officer, Blink Parametric. “We know we’re doing something right when a top-tier partner that is as consumer-centric as Blue Cross extends Blink’s real-time flight disruption solutions across Canada. It helps to have an amazing product, but we are also very fortunate that our relationship is reinforced by trust and shared values that prioritise the customer experience.”
Saskatchewan Blue Cross will be offering policyholders a service whereby individuals can register for flight delay coverage up to one hour ahead of their departure time, according to a Blink Parametric statement. Once registered, they’ll have access to an airport lounge and/or hotel access, and cash, depending on the length of the delay.
Blink Parametric offers customers what it calls a proactive real-time insurance service that meets the speed and convenience that customers greatly value by swiftly notifying travelers if a flight is delayed. Real-time event notification allows for a range of real-time assistance options to be delivered straight to the traveler, while delivering operational efficiency on processing high frequency, low severity claims for insurance partners.
“The pandemic has changed the way we travel over the past two and a half years, and the current landscape of traveling has shown that conditions can change quickly,” comments Shelley Vandenberg, President and CEO, Saskatchewan Blue Cross. “Saskatchewan Blue Cross is excited to announce enhancements to our travel insurance plans to meet the needs of travelers.”
