In his new capacity, Gomez will assume leadership over GC&C’s insurance-related activities, overseeing the entire insurance process. His responsibilities will encompass fostering corporate portfolio management and optimizing efficiency across underwriting lines of business, pricing strategies, loss prevention, and claims processes.
Notably, Gomez will continue his interim role as Head of GC&C Mediterranean & Latin America, as highlighted in the announcement.
With an illustrious career spanning over three decades within the insurance sector, Gomez brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He has held various senior roles within the Generali Group since joining its Barcelona offices in Spain in 2001 as a Property Area Manager.
Throughout his tenure, Gomez has made significant contributions to the Generali Group’s operations, particularly in Iberia and Latin America. His leadership was instrumental in establishing Generali Global Corporate & Commercial’s presence in Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American markets, showcasing a proven track record of effective strategic guidance.
In 2013, Gomez undertook the task of spearheading Generali Global Corporate & Commercial’s expansion efforts in the aforementioned regions, facilitating its recent transformation into the Mediterranean & Latin America Region.
