The move aims to streamline IT operations, facilitate swift adaptation to evolving market demands, and enhance engagement with agents and customers, ultimately contributing to the sustained growth of CNA’s business.
CNA has been a client of Guidewire’s for two decades. The insurtech initially deployed ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter as self-managed installations. The recent decision involves migrating these products to Guidewire Cloud specifically for its commercial lines of business. Moreover, CNA plans to extend their usage to lawyers’ liability and specialty lines of business, according to a Guidewire statement.
CNA will use the Guidewire Marketplace and PartnerConnect ecosystem to optimize its workflows. Additionally, the company will employ SmartCOMM from Smart Communications for customer communications management, as highlighted in a statement by Guidewire. It’s worth noting that Guidewire acts as a reseller of Smart Communications and is a valued member of the Guidewire PartnerConnect Solution.
“Guidewire’s singular focus on the cloud will help streamline CNA’s cloud-first business strategy, working to improve our industry-leading claims, underwriting and customer service operations,” said Jane Possell, EVP, CIO, CNA.
“CNA has established itself as one of the preeminent commercial lines insurers,” said John Mullen, president and chief revenue officer, Guidewire. “We are pleased to continue working alongside CNA in this new chapter. The company’s vision for operational excellence and continuous innovation aligns well to Guidewire’s roadmap.”
He added: “We look forward to our work together in support of CNAs mission—providing insurance solutions that allow its customers to better manage their risks and grow profitably.”
