Coalition’s product comes at a time when there is a significant need for more robust cyber training. Verizon’s 2024 Data Breach Investigations Report found that 68% of breaches involved a human element. Coalition’s own reporting has found that over half of all cyber insurance claims originate in the inbox.
Security awareness training ensures that employees are better at identifying phishing attempts, helps avoid business email compromise and financial fraud, and collaborates with IT to bolster business security. It has been found that training programmes can reduce cyber risks by up to 60% in the first year of implementation. Regulators have noticed this and cited it in nine out of eleven leading cybersecurity frameworks.
However, small businesses struggle with implementing the necessary costs as the training programmes can be very expensive. Further, these trainings can often overload employees with too much training, which is not necessarily applicable.
Coalition’s Security Awareness Training seeks to address all these problems and meet the needs of small businesses. The solution will be available on Coalition Control. Some of the tenets of the training are:
- Insurance-informed training: The claims and incident response data from over 85,000+ policyholders is available to provide businesses with the best priorities.
- Engaging content and interactive exercises: There is a library of over 200 videos, as well as multiple real-world simulations.
- Streamlined rollout and tracking: Pre-designed courses, automated campaigns, and frequent reminders ensure employees complete the cybersecurity training.
- Support for regulatory compliance: Businesses with industry-specific requirements can access a range of compliance initiatives
