The partnership aims to boost credit card appeal and enhance customer loyalty by providing complimentary lounge access during travel disruptions.
NAB will utilise Collinson’s SmartDelay™ service, allowing cardholders and up to four travelling companions to access airport lounges when their flight is delayed by 60 minutes or more.
Alex Lawrence, Global Head of SmartDelay at Collinson, said: “With NAB supporting 10 million customers, we are thrilled to partner with them to bring SmartDelay to their exclusive credit card customers. At a time when customers expect more from their banks, NAB’s forward-thinking approach to customer satisfaction and loyalty sets them apart. We’re excited to collaborate on driving strategic growth.”
Flight delays are increasingly common, with recent statistics showing that nearly one in four flights globally are delayed by at least 15 minutes, and 133 million travellers face delays of over an hour each year. SmartDelay provides access to more than 1,500 airport lounges worldwide, as well as alternative benefits such as spa access, sleep pods, and restaurant vouchers, alleviating travel stress for affected passengers.
Tim Peters, Executive Personal Lending Experience at NAB, added: “The NAB Rewards Signature card is now the perfect companion for any overseas trip or domestic holiday, offering enhanced travel rewards and peace of mind in the event of disruptions. The addition of SmartDelay to our offering gives our customers more control and comfort when their flights are delayed, all with just a few clicks.”
