The significant development aims to bolster healthcare services for eligible insurance plan members.
The Galleri test, heralded for its advanced cancer detection capabilities, will be accessible to all members, irrespective of plan types, who are aged 50 and above. Additionally, it will be available to other members identified with risk factors for cancer. Notably, the Galleri test comes as part of Curative’s health insurance plans, offering a $0 copay and $0 deductible, making it a highly valuable inclusion among the available benefits.
By employing a straightforward blood draw method alongside existing single-cancer screenings, the Galleri test purports to detect DNA shed by cancer cells. This pioneering approach facilitates the screening of some of the most lethal cancers, including pancreatic, esophageal, ovarian, and liver cancers, among others, for which recommended screening methods are currently unavailable. Through this initiative, Curative endeavors to empower its members with proactive measures for early cancer detection and prevention.
