The news follows on from Ecclesiastical’s release of the results of its annual Broker Wellbeing Survey which revealed that broker stress has surged for the fifth straight year, with 79% of respondents in a recent survey reporting workplace stress over the past 12 months.
The new partnership capitalises on Ecclesiastical’s established partnership with the managing general agent (MGA), facilitating simplified market access and empowering brokers to engage with their clients directly. The platform also opens up Ecclesiastical to iprism’s extensive distribution network, encompassing smaller not-for-profit entities.
In a statement released by Ecclesiastical, the insurtech said it had already moved all its current non-profit customers to the new platform.
A standout feature of the platform is its e-trading system, designed to streamline the quoting process for brokers. This system offers brokers a more efficient means of generating quotes for their customers. By inputting customer information directly into the platform, brokers can seamlessly trigger the automatic generation of a premium quote, accompanied by the pertinent policy document.
This not only enhances the overall efficiency of the quoting process but also provides a convenient and swift solution for brokers serving smaller not-for-profit organisations in these specific sectors.
Speaking about the partnership, iprism CEO, Ian Lloyd, explained: “Ecclesiastical is an important partner for iprism so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to work together to deliver this new platform. It brings together our technical expertise in e-trading with their products to offer more choice, more convenience and greater accessibility for brokers.”
Chris Withers, schemes and facilities director at Ecclesiastical Insurance, also commented, saying: “It gives our regional teams additional capacity to focus on growing our business in niche areas while maintaining our position as an insurer that supports local communities through our products and charitable giving.”
Withers went on to say that Ecclesiastical’s relationship with iprism and said the team had been “impressed with their digital capability.”
“By bringing this new digital solution to the market, we’ll be able to grow our business and offer a high-quality service to even more customers,” he added.
