Envelop Risk Launches Specialist Cyber Product
Envelop Risk, a specialist in cyber reinsurance and analytics, has launched a new services division called Envelop Risk Solutions, aimed at providing comprehensive support to insurers and reinsurers looking to strengthen their cyber capabilities.

Envelop Risk Solutions will employ the firm’s Augmented Underwriting approach, which combines advanced data enrichment and artificial intelligence with robust underwriting and capital management strategies.

The division’s projects range from helping clients develop cyber programmes from scratch to assisting international reinsurers in scaling their operations. The services cover key areas such as cyber underwriting strategy, scenario modelling, capital metrics, market analytics, new product development, threat intelligence, automation of reinsurance processes, and global cyber risk forecasting.

Paul Guthrie, Co-founder of Envelop, will temporarily lead the division. Before joining Envelop Risk, Guthrie worked on artificial intelligence and technology integration projects for global investment banks, asset managers, aerospace and defence companies, and NASA.

Jonathan Spry, Envelop’s Co-founder and CEO, said: “Envelop was founded to enable sustainable industry growth through the smart application of advanced analytics to capital management and underwriting. Cyber is a growing and potentially lucrative area, but it requires specialised risk management. We provide our capital partners with the most detailed assessment of their cyber portfolios in the industry. With the launch of Envelop Risk Solutions, we are pleased to offer these tools to help our industry partners achieve their strategic objectives.”
