Howden Tiger has announced the appointment of Wolfram Schultz as the new Head of Casualty Reinsurance for Continental Europe.

Schultz is set to assume his role on February 1st, with his operational base located in Cologne, Germany. In this pivotal position, Schultz will report directly to Massimo Reina, the CEO of Howden Tiger International.

His mandate includes leveraging his extensive industry expertise to enhance the client offering, both regionally and globally, with a particular focus on addressing traditionally underserved areas of broking.Wolfram Schultz brings over 36 years of invaluable experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector to his new role.

His most recent position as the Head of Underwriting & Group Protection Casualty and Specialty at AXA GIE in Paris underscored his responsibilities for the analysis, strategy, and optimisation of AXA SA’s global reinsurance business.

Having held key management roles in prominent international industrial insurance companies such as Gerling Allgemeine Versicherungs AG, Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty SE, and Guy Carpenter, Schultz has a diverse background across locations including Germany, the UK, and South Africa. Massimo Reina expressed enthusiasm for Schultz’s addition to the team, highlighting Howden Tiger’s commitment to international growth through strategic talent investment.

Schultz’s role is deemed crucial in bridging the gap between major industrial corporations and regional clients, addressing specific local risks. The collaboration with London-based Specialty teams and Howden Tiger’s local offices across Europe is expected to fortify the company’s market position and overall capabilities.
