De Bremme, who will be relocating from London to Brussels, will oversee Marsh McLennan’s operations across Belgium and Luxembourg, including offices in Brussels, Luxembourg, Antwerp, and Ghent. Reporting directly to Christos Adamantiadis, CEO of Marsh McLennan, Europe, he will ensure that clients in the region have access to the firm’s broad range of services and solutions.
In addition to his responsibilities as CEO, De Bremme will also lead Marsh, the world’s top insurance broker and risk advisor, delivering market-leading insurance solutions and risk advisory services to clients across the Belgium and Luxembourg markets.
De Bremme rejoined Marsh in December 2023 as Head of Marine, Cargo & Logistics for Europe. His career at Marsh began in 1998, where he spent nine years as Senior Client Executive for global marine and energy clients. Prior to returning to Marsh, he worked at AIG for 14 years, most recently serving as Global Head of Marine from 2016 to 2022.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Adamantiadis said: “Kristof is an outstanding leader who has consistently demonstrated his unerring commitment to clients and colleagues throughout his career. With his leadership and the power of Marsh McLennan’s global capabilities, our teams in Belgium and Luxembourg are well-placed to support clients navigate their way through the ever-challenging risk environment and continue to thrive.”
De Bremme said: “While globally recognised as major hubs for policy, regulation and trade, companies operating in Belgium and Luxembourg are particularly vulnerable to fluctuating economic cycles and talent shortages, as well as risks associated with cyber threats and natural catastrophes such as flooding.:
He added: ” I look forward to working with Marsh McLennan’s risk, advisory, and analytics colleagues to deliver the best of the business to our clients in the Belgium and Luxembourg region, and contributing to their success.”
