Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG; Tokyo/New York) has deployed a ceded reinsurance system with assistance from Wikifri, an Alpharetta, Ga.-based insurance technology consulting firm, according to a Wikifri statement.
Wikifri reports that it a team of reinsurance subject-matter-experts to manage the program and provide business analyst support and data conversion expertise along with MSIG’s internal Finance and IT teams and the insurer’s chosen software vendor.
“We are excited about the launch of the ceded reinsurance platform. Wikifri’s project leadership and reinsurance subject-matter expertise were invaluable to the success of the implementation. The partnership with Wikifri was a win-win for everyone involved.” Comments Robb Bennett, Director of Reinsurance, MSIG. “Their business knowledge and project experience added depth to our team at a time when resource constraints were one of the biggest risks of the program.”
The project has created operational efficiencies and enables better access to timely data within MSIG’s ceded reinsurance functions, the Wikifri statement says.
“We always appreciate being in the right place at the right time for our clients” said Bill Freitag of Wikifri. “It is our goal to be in the unique position to understand the client’s business needs and technology plans so we can help them execute and realize the benefits of a transformational program.”
