The location has attracted an established group of insurance tenants situated at 8 Bishopsgate, a site that has also enticed occupants from the legal, financial, and technology sectors.
SCOR is set to occupy over two and a half floors within one of the most sought-after office locations in London. The lease agreement was facilitated through the efforts of Knight Frank and Newmark BH2, representing Stanhope and Mitsubishi Estate, and CBRE, acting on behalf of SCOR.
The relocation aligns with SCOR’s sustainability strategy, emphasising its commitment to achieving a net-zero carbon footprint in operations by 2030. The move also allows SCOR to maintain its presence in the insurance district while meeting its environmental goals.
Thierry Léger, Chief Executive Officer of SCOR, expressed enthusiasm about the relocation, stating, “SCOR is delighted to announce the relocation of our London office to 8 Bishopsgate, where our team will be joining a vibrant community of industry players. This move reflects our commitment to fostering collaboration among our teams as employees will now be brought together in one building. It also aligns with our dedication to sustainability, as we strive to create a greener and more efficient work environment for our people and a more welcoming space for our partners.”
Shinichi Kagitomi, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Estate London, also commented, saying: “As we welcome yet another occupier to 8 Bishopsgate, the building continues to cement its position as one of London’s flagship workplaces which meets all of the environmental, technological and high-amenity needs required of today’s premium office schemes.”
David Camp, Chief Executive, Stanhope, said, “The decision of SCOR to make 8 Bishopsgate their new London headquarters is a testament to the enduring appeal of our iconic building. We are excited to welcome them and provide a workspace that meets their high standards.”
He added: “This move further solidifies 8 Bishopsgate’s position as a premier business address within the City of London.”
