Accor is seeking to establish an expansive e-commerce platform offering a variety of services beyond the room booking experience. This spa services, restaurants and unique experiences. Accor wants to consolidate payments, simplifying the booking process in order to streamline payments internally.
Accor previously used multiple payment gateways with different providers. The new partnership with Stripe will allow Accor to implement a single centralised system across all of the properties in its portfolio for online bookings. Accor expects the move to significantly boost its net conversion rate.
