According to a statement, Stubben Edge Capital will operate across three key pillars. Firstly, it will focus on developing and sustaining the insurance underwriting balance sheet capacity of intermediaries by providing easy access to permanent capital.
Secondly, it will offer a wide range of wealth management solutions through a network of partner independent financial advisers. Finally, Stubben Edge Capital will provide ancillary services such as investment management, capital management, corporate finance, and funding.
Chris Kenning, CEO of Stubben Edge Group, expressed excitement about the launch of Stubben Edge Capital, emphasising their commitment to helping insurance brokers, MGAs, and insurers grow their businesses. Kenning highlighted the range of support the company provides, including technology, data, analytics, regulatory licensing, and now capital solutions.
The company’s assets under management (AUM) business has experienced significant growth, reaching £400 million in a short period and aiming to reach £2 billion by the end of 2023. As a leading fintech, Stubben Edge Group aims to provide equity, debt, and reinsurance solutions to its partners.
In conjunction with the launch, Frédéric Morlaye, the newly appointed chief investment officer, presented the latest strategy for Stubben Edge Capital to a group of investors at the UK Investor Show (UKIS) held in London. Morlaye brings over two decades of experience in financial markets and has advised senior management teams across Europe on strategy and asset and liability management issues. He has held positions at BNP Paribas Global Markets and served as a professor at Sciences Po Paris and the ESCP Graduate School of Business.
Earlier this year, Stubben Edge successfully raised £5.6 million in an oversubscribed funding round involving both existing and new shareholders, further strengthening its position in the industry.
