Through this collaboration, Tower will join a select group of providers offering exclusive benefits to union members, such as discounted life insurance, health and wellbeing programmes, and healthcare services.
Jonathan Beale, Managing Director of Partnerships at Tower, commented, “We are proud to partner with a like-minded Kiwi organisation to make insurance more accessible for New Zealanders. HealthCarePlus is a not-for-profit that supports unions representing some of Aotearoa’s most valuable professionals, and we feel incredibly honoured to support them.”
HealthCarePlus is jointly owned by five education unions and the Public Services Association, representing over 180,000 members across the teaching, tertiary, and public service sectors. This partnership will allow members to access Tower’s insurance products directly through the HealthCarePlus website and member platform.
John Seed, Chief Executive of HealthCarePlus, said, “At HealthCarePlus, our goal is to improve the physical, mental, and financial wellbeing of our members and their whānau. Partnering with Tower not only enhances the benefits we offer but also strengthens our support for crucial roles in education and public services.”
In addition to HealthCarePlus, Tower has formed partnerships with other organisations, including CSC Buying Group, Coastguard New Zealand, Ray White, Kiwi Adviser Network, TSB, and Kiwibank. These partnerships further extend Tower’s reach, providing members with greater access to its insurance offerings.
