The new Trawick International Collegiate Care Plans are designed as alternatives to traditional college or university health insurance plans for international students and scholars. The plans will be offered to those entering the US on an F, M, Q, or J-1 visa, or an F-1 visa with optional practical training. Trawick stated that the plans would offer competitive pricing, various deductible options, and comprehensive coverage including:
- $0 Student Health Center copay
- Preventative care and mental health benefits
- 24/7 multilingual emergency assistance
- Access to a global network of pharmacies
- Telemedicine services via SureGo Virtual Care (on most plans)
Trawick’s plans are customisable, allowing brokers to provide bespoke coverage tailored to clients’ needs. SureGo Administrative Services, the sister company of Trawick International, will oversee claims administrations for these plans.
Daryl Trawick, President and CEO of Trawick International, commented: “We are thrilled to introduce these new international student insurance plans in time for the 2024–25 school year. Trawick International has offered student insurance since we started out in 1998, so it is our longest-standing product and has a special place in our history. We look forward to providing these plans to students and collaborating with education partners to offer them to their clients.”
Earlier this year, Trawick announced it had completed the acquisition of Greenlight Insurance Services, a UK Lloyd’s coverholder established in 1996.
