UnitedHealth Group and Allianz SE Continue to Lead in AM Best’s Worldwide Insurer Rankings
UnitedHealth Group Incorporated and Allianz SE have retained their top positions in AM Best's rankings of the world's largest insurance companies.

The latest rankings, released in the January 2024 issue of Best’s Review, showcase UnitedHealth Group’s consistent performance as the top insurer for the ninth consecutive year. The company witnessed a remarkable 14% growth in net premiums written (NPW), reaching $257.2 billion in 2022.Allianz SE, while experiencing a 10% decrease from the previous year, secured its leading spot in nonbanking assets, maintaining a substantial $1.1 trillion. The rankings are based on BestLink data and additional research.
