Ushur Launches AI Solution to Enhance Insurance Onboarding
Ushur, an insurtech specialising in AI-powered customer experience automation, has announced the launch of a new pre-built automation solution.

The new product aims to reduce turnaround times and improve onboarding communications for insurance carriers, health plans, and financial services companies.

This new offering addresses significant inefficiencies in the onboarding processes within the group benefits and worksite benefits sectors. Ushur argues that current methods are riddled with friction, being overly manual and inefficient.

The new solution is designed to digitise and automate the onboarding journey for employer groups, using Ushur’s proprietary channels and pre-built digital templates to ensure continuous clarity and alignment throughout the process. The AI-powered solution assists both brokers and group customers, ensuring proactive outreach, coordination, and management.

Ushur’s product features include proactive outreach to collect necessary onboarding data and regularly check progress, coordination to assist with communications, as well as automated document processing and data upload for core carrier systems. These tools help improve engagement and streamline onboarding processes.

Furthermore, these automation solutions have been tested by some of the largest insurance carriers in the business, demonstrating their effectiveness in real-world scenarios.

Yvonne Daugherty, Global Head of Industries for Ushur, commented: “In group benefits and worksite benefits, there is a big opportunity to enhance and expedite the process of onboarding employer groups. The current process is friction-filled, manual and inefficient. With Ushur’s new AI-first automated solution for multichannel communications, document processing, and information gathering, carriers, group benefit administrators, and benefits brokers all experience substantial improvement in the onboarding journeys while realising operational efficiencies across the board.”

Ushur raised $50 million in a Series C funding round last September.
