The collaboration will further integrate ZestyAI’s Z-PROPERTY platform into West Bend’s personal lines underwriting and renewal processes, significantly boosting speed and accuracy.
ZestyAI’s Z-PROPERTY platform uses computer vision and machine learning to assess property risks by analysing aerial and satellite imagery, building permits, and other data for over 150 million residential and commercial properties. By monitoring factors such as roof condition, debris accumulation, and overgrown vegetation, West Bend can better manage evolving property risks, ensuring precise and up-to-date coverage for policyholders.
Jonathan Schulz, AVP of Personal Lines at West Bend Insurance, noted the value of the partnership: “Our collaboration with ZestyAI has greatly enhanced our ability to assess residential property risks. Expanding our use of Z-PROPERTY allows us to gain even deeper insights, enabling more proactive and efficient risk management.”
The advanced risk analytics platform will streamline West Bend’s underwriting process, offering real-time insights that allow for quicker decision-making while ensuring all final decisions are reviewed by trained representatives. Verified data from sources such as historical imagery and building permits will allow West Bend to better evaluate and mitigate risks across its residential portfolio.
The expansion marks another milestone for ZestyAI, following the launch of its Z-WATER platform and regulatory approval for its severe convective storm models. ZestyAI has also recently partnered with companies such as Amica and FPI, further solidifying its role in AI-driven risk analytics for the insurance industry.
“Z-PROPERTY simplifies the process of assessing a large portfolio by identifying the riskiest policies and enabling carriers to mitigate risks effectively,” said Attila Toth, Founder and CEO of ZestyAI.
He added “The platform requires no IT integration and covers all properties in North America, making it a seamless addition for insurers.”
